Child Ghost Interaction Savannah Theatre Lacie Armstrong, December 23, 2023January 11, 2024 The haunted history of the Savannah Theatre is vast, but among all the spirits that inhabit the building, perhaps the most engaging is a child by the name of Ben. Ben was the son of a theatre employee that would commonly come to work with his father. Tragically, a fire broke out one day while Ben was there for his visit. A throng of theatre employees and patrons ran to the balcony exit and down the stairway only to horrifyingly find that the exit door was locked and there was no escape. The crowd took off running again, back up the stairway to find another exit from the burning building. When the fire was controlled and the damages assessed, it was found that 2 people had died during the fire. A man was found deceased just outside the upstairs doorway of the stairway and reportedly succumbed to smoke inhalation. Sadly, little Ben had died at the bottom of the staircase, trampled to death by the panicked stampede of theatre goers. Glimpse down the stairway through full spectrum video camera. An offering of toys is left for Ben at the top of the staircase. The attached video is from my time in the stairway. I had some valued interactions with Ben and his eagerness to interact makes me hopeful to return to meet with him again some day. Although some more negative entities have been known to inhabit the theatre, and I felt some of those during my time there, the stairway for me seemed to contain a playfulness that I highly attribute to sweet Ben. This paranormal investigation was part of the Ghost Brothers event- The Ghost Brothers Take Over Savannah. The investigation was co-hosted by Truth in evidence ghost tours.
